I've been busy

So right after the Die in Paris shoot (which is in post as I type this) I started work on my first feature film. I started out on "I of the Storm" as A camera opperator but I have slid into a co-DOP position. I have been having a great time and am learning like crazy. Here are a few pictures from the shoots so far.

Filming pretty girls do yoga.....tough. I was pretty proud of my lighting though.

Rooftop in west Van. One of the nicest locations of the movie.

The "big guns" You know you're low budget when baby 1K lights are the big guns.

The big dinner fight scene. My first time stepping in to light and DP.

On the roof again for some BBQ.

Filming the "Die in Paris" music video

I shot a music video for a great band "Die in Paris" last weekend and had a blast. We made due with no budget, alot of travel, a splash of vodka and a shit load of wind. I have handed off the footage and can't wait to see what the editor does with it. Here are a couple pics from before I had to switch cameras.

New tripod

So I picked up a new tripod last week and love it. It's a Libec LS-38 kit and it works great with my HPX-170. Im glad to be on a good set of sticks again, and these are way better than my old Manfrotto 325/501 sticks and a better comparable price too. Happy to add another member to my equipment family.

And I put together a little vid of my testing.
